Flag football season ends

Though perhaps not the most well-known sport, Wilson’s flag football team is nevertheless competitive and successful. The girls flag football team showed their skills around the city this year and found themselves facing tough competition in DCIAA play. Traveling across the city to face rivals such as Dunbar, Woodson, Walls, and Cardozo, they finished the season a game above .500, ending the season 6-5-1. Propelling the team were sophomores Alicia Campbell, who scored an impressive four touchdowns in a single game, and Faith Smith, who was awarded First Team All-Conference. Although Eastern has won back to back DCIAA championships, Wilson looks poised for a good season next year.
