“Legally Blonde The Musical” comes to Wilson stage

Coming soon to the Wilson theatre, Legally Blonde The Musical will take its viewers through the uplifting journey of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who attends Harvard Law School to try and win back her ex-boyfriend. With 21 musical numbers, and one of the largest casts Wilson has ever seen, Legally Blonde The Musical is sure to entertain. “There’s a lot of dance moves, a lot of choreography, a lot of scene work,” said senior Sarah Desta, who will play Paulette, a hairdresser and close friend of Elle’s.

The musical is based off of the book Legally Blonde, written by Amanda Brown, which was made into a movie in 2001. Junior Gabby Anifantis, who will play the sorority girl Kate and is in the dance troupe, said that the musical follows the storyline of the movie, but “the music adds a fun twist and makes it really different.” The show times are November 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 7:30 pm, and November 18 at 2:30 pm. Director Harriet Bronstein said that “the performances are fabulous, our cast is incredibly talented, and everybody should come support their fellow students.” To see a trailer for the musical, visit https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yNerk_L6mAmxTck9E1yJuqU3cTNVrVWj/view .
