A love letter to fall

Dear Fall,

Although we will miss the warm days spent by the beach, nothing compares to the crunching feeling of leaves beneath our feet.  It’s finally the time of year where we start to pull out our favorite sweaters and jeans, when the air smells like cinnamon and the taste of pumpkin spice becomes a daily treat.

We enjoy the slightly chilled air, after saying bye to the sticky humidity. We embrace the nights of smores and bonfires, where we share laughs with our favorite people. Sitting by the fire with big blankets, and warm mugs filled with apple cider toasting our hands. We love the pumpkins you bring us every year. Walking by neighbor’s houses late at night, admiring the different faces carved out with a candle inside, waiting to be seen.

October is when the anticipation really starts. When the pumpkin patches are picked clean, the haunted houses begin to appear, and Halloween is around the corner. No matter how old you are, discussing what you’re going to dress up as is half the fun. . The excitement of Halloween is timeless..  A monthly celebration that only feels right when accompanied by cool air and sweet treats.

You bring us thanksgiving, full bellies, laughs shared with family and friends, and happy memories.. Turkey drawings with little kids, traditions from years past, reuniting with distant  family, as we all join together to feast.  Sitting around the big wooden table, as  a  pile of your colored leaves decorates the center. We share what we are thankful for while enjoying our peers’ company.

Fall, you have only just started, and life is already looking up. We are so excited to begin all the activities you bring us, whether that be pumpkin patches, bonfires, time with family, and all other festivities. Thank you for delivering happiness and coziness every time you come around. We’re happy you’re finally back for the 2023 season!

Xoxo,

Zara and Sam
