Spring fashion rant

Mimi Miller, Junior Editor

From blooming cherry blossoms to pleasant weather, spring in D.C. is arguably one of the best seasons. But with the arrival of sunny days and flowers comes the brutal awkwardness of spring fashion. In less than a week, I watched as girls retired the UGGs they begged to get for Christmas, opting for their not-so-white Air Force 1s that are clearly on their last leg. Speaking of legs, the transition from pants to shorts begs the question: to shave or not to shave? Along those lines, which is more socially acceptable now: socks and sandals or to let our toes hang loose?

One thing is for certain: If a single toe of mine is referred to as a “dog” in Spring 2023, the perpetrator will get smacked by whatever open-toed shoe I am wearing.
