When walking towards Femme Fatale, it’s hard to miss. Its vibrant storefront in Cleveland Park welcomes you in with its painted window and colorful signage. Selling clothes to candles, posters to pottery, your eyes might be confused about where to look first. 

Although the store itself is somewhat small, it is filled to the brim with carefully-curated items. The back of the store is home to a variety of purses. Although you can find a classic canvas tote, you could also find a yellow, glittery, high-heeled-shaped purse as I once did! 

I then moved onto the wide selection of jewelry scattered around different spots within the store. Some wall space is dedicated to hanging bead-adorned necklaces, while other tables are set out with handmade clay earrings. Even when inspecting a piece of jewelry, you will be sure to see something even more intriguing out of the corner of your eye and will end up wandering around the store endlessly until you have examined everything. 

The diversity of these items and the originality of the store is driven by the passion within the community.

It adds that its mission is to “amplify the influence of womxn by providing inspiration and practical support.”

Whether they already have a business, or are just getting started, Femme Fatale works with them to sell their products. This creates a positive and original community which makes the store experience even more immersive.
