Which J-R sports team has the best Instagram?

Greetings! Today, we’re bringing to you a review of our very own sports teams’ Instagrams! Some are bad, others are fab (but you have to keep reading to find out which are which). Disclaimer: We understand that some sports have access to more resources that allow them to get better photos and editing. Also, none of our reviews are personal! ;p

Softball – 4/5

@jacksonreedsoftball

Starting off strong, we have softball. They knocked our knee-high socks off! (They wear knee-high socks, right?) It is evident that they put a lot of effort into each post, promoting the players as well as the sport. There’s humor in the bio, where it says that it’s everyone’s favorite Jackson-Reed team (debatable). There was a highlight story including the team roster (everyone take note) and a link to other softball resources! At the end of the day, we gave softball a solid four out of five tigers.

Football – 2/5

@jacksonreedtigersfb

Next up, we have football. Honestly, a bit disappointing. You’d think that with all the attention they get from the school, their Instagram would be more organized than our schedule change process (no hate). However, there are some good photos and a pretty consistent posting schedule. Two tigers.

Boys Basketball – 5/5

@tenleytigersdchoops

Wow. This one is a slam dunk! It has a professional, clean, and crisp look. The photos are high quality, there are really well-made promotional posts for the players, and clear game day announcements are easy to find. This one makes us want to go to a basketball game. Who’s in charge of this account? And can we hire you? Five tigers!!

Swim – 4/5

@jacksonreedswim

The Jackson-Reed Swimstagram!! How cute is that name? Immediately rewarded one tiger for that. The profile picture is also adorable. We appreciate the meme (they may or may not have taken that idea from a cooler sports team)! We’re looking forward to new posts this upcoming season. Our only criticism is that it’s lacking in information. Four tigers!

Baseball – 5/5

@jacksonreed.baseball

Baseball is exceptional! The color scheme is beautiful, there are some amazing visuals, lots of information, thoughtful captions, and lots of promotion! Also, the link to donate to the team being the only thing in the bio is absolutely hilarious. A well-deserved five tigers.

Volleyball – 3/5

@jacksonreed.volleyball

Up next, volleyball! The content is nice, posts are pretty consistent, and there are season highlights. However, it isn’t the most cohesive page, which gives it an unaesthetic look. We gave it three tigers!

Field Hockey – 3/5

@tigersfockey

Field hockey! There are some really fun posts with field hockey sayings and quotes. It makes us feel as if we were on the team, with information about carpooling to their tournaments! Plus, there are promotional posts thrown in as well. Pretty good overall. Three tigers.

Soccer – 4/5
